This study aims to examine the effect of implementing the Collaborative Strategic Reading (CSR) technique combined with the Teaching at The Right Level (TaRL) approach on students' reading comprehension skills at SMPN 229 Jakarta. The method used is quantitative with a pre-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design. The study was conducted on 32 students in grades 7-1 for three meetings. Data collection was carried out through tests and questionnaires to measure students' reading comprehension skills before and after the intervention. The results of the analysis showed that the average value of students' reading comprehension skills increased from 16.5 to 20.5 after the implementation of this method, with a decrease in the variation in values indicating an increase in the consistency of learning outcomes. The t-test showed that there was a significant effect of the implementation of CSR and TaRL on students' reading comprehension skills t count = -42.55581, t table = 2.036933343. These findings indicate that the combination of these two methods is effective in improving students' reading comprehension skills. This study provides implications for teachers and schools to adopt learning techniques that are more responsive to students' needs, and suggests further research with larger samples and longer time periods to explore the sustained impact of these methods
