Currently, the technology that is very influential and used by almost all people in the world is the internet. The influence of the internet plays a very big role in the field of trade, so that it has benefits for business people in selling their products more easily and consumers can get the products they want relatively easily. The payment system in buying and selling online is classified as easier because if the buyer is going to purchase goods, he can transfer them and can also make payments directly on the spot when the goods are delivered by the courier to the consumer's home. The research method used in this study uses normative juridical methods by examining and managing several sources such as laws and regulations, several books and other research. The results of the study show that the courier's position in the online shopping system through direct payment on the spot is as the recipient of the deposit, as a person representing a goods delivery service company who receives power of attorney from the seller to get money from the buyer. The legal protection that can be given to couriers in the on-site payment system is to guarantee that the courier is not responsible for damage to goods or discrepancies that are not caused by his negligence.
